GOTTA 8703 on BELL MOBILITY

WANNA 8803 on BELL MOBILITY

Q- is the BUILD QUALITY of the 8803 superior to the BUILD QUALITY of 8800 as is the case with the 87's?

ALSO

How is the 8300 superior to the 8803 aside from the camera?

THANKS FOR YOUR COMMENTS!

Please try typing with caps off.

The 8300 is different from the 8800. Aside from the smaller form factor and a different keyboard layout, you swap a camera for the GPS. Some like the 8800, most like the 8300. A few weeks after launch, the split would be about even I would think.

As for the build quality, if you fix the squeaky sides, I am quite impressed with the 8800 build quality. Its nicely weighted and looks great. Thats just me, a number of people will tell you just the opposite. I am not sure about build quality of the 8803s.

Thanks XXX. CAPS ARE FOR EMPHASIS, ;)

I ask about BUILD QUALITY b/c the 8700 was far cheaper and 'squeaky' than the 8703 and I thought perhaps it was a CDMA benefit of some sort.

Anyone know when the 8803 comes on BELL MOBILITY?

MANY THANKS!

have not heard of the 8803s? so far just the 8800/8830 and maybe 8820 in the works with wifi. Im sure if 8803 is just bell's version of the 8800 then it shoudl be coming soon, but i dont know.

I've never head "build quality" issues with the 8700 or the 8800 so I don't know what you're talking about. There were concerns with early units of each model but you're overgeneralizing the matter IMO.

I don't care what you've heard dude. My buddy's 8700 is as creaky as my grandma's rocking chair and my 8703 is as stiff as my rod.

I'm not overgeneralizing anything- I'm stating my opinion. Who made you the authority on this subject?

Wow...you're a classy dude.

But to answer the question for OTHERS to benefit, the 8830 is a lot more solid when compared to my 8703e on Verizon. The back door of my 8703e was creaky and I had to put a post it note in there to keep it stable. The 8830 doesn't exhibit any of that stuff.

The squeaky sides were fixed with the 8830. RIM switched manufacturers as a result of the complaints on the 8800. FYI, sides for the 8830 fit just fine on the 8800 (for those of you that want to read between the lines).
