IF it is released it would not be until 2/19 at the earliest.
Easiest way to see if a phone will be released soon... check the rebate forms. Our current forms do not have the curve on it and go to 2/18.

You know why the CURVE is right around the corner...
VZW Pearl is Now $99.99, they are blowing out inventory to make room on the shelves for my next new phone the Curve.
And then I will be on this site looking for my next next new phone a 9000 series...and then i will be waiting for my next new BB, well you all get the idea...

They wouldnt push the pearl out. They would push the 8703 and 7130 out first. The 8830 will stay, the 8130 will stay, and *if* they get the 8330, it will be the third CDMA device.

There's a new rumor going on at the crackberry forums that the new CDMA Curve is actually going to look different than the older GSM model. Makes sense as the CDMA Pearl 2 was also redesigned a little bit. Anyway, the word is that it's going to look more like the 8830 but with the dimensions of the current Curve, ie, shorter and narrower. This lead to the dicussion that this redesigned Curve could be that spyshot that went around a month ago:
Hmm...

agreed I think they dropped the price just to spark interest its just a limited offer. All carriers do it from time to time.

they are in direct competition with Sprint on this one, same coverage area, and sprint has a much better deal on the data plan. They dropped the price to, as Dawg says, spark interest.

It isn't the Curve, but could it be the Curve 2? In the posts over at crackberry, a user is saying their friend at Verizon has seen the new CDMA Curve and it does not look like the current one.

You are correct. The CDMA curve will have a different looking keypad. I don't know how else it will look.

my point is, that image is not the 8330. if you look around on here there has been a model designation.

I'm well aware of that. I'm just confirming that the CDMA will not be identical to the GSM one.

actually that was directed to the other poster who asked if it could be the curve 2. Also, for the record, the 8310 was listed as the curve 2 by ATT

Whatever the damn thing looks like I would love to get some VZW Ninja reports on a relese timetable...
BGR has been very quiet about RIM news for a while...Maybe they can stop worrying about video game info, and 7lbs laptops and get back to what made them GREAT...
BLACKBERRY Scoops...
Come on BGR get back to your roots...

And you know this how? Personal knowledge? I can't tell you how many times I have heard "I know a friend, who works with someone, who's brother says..." on this board. Unless you are an industry insider, or have seen some top secret PowerPoint presentation with the CDMA curve pictures on it, you know as much as the rest of us.

there was multiple pictures that have been floating around of that device. There was also a picture without the battery. If it is the cdma curve, it would be a world phone because it had a sim card assembly.

You mean this picture?
Vodafone's 2008 roadmap gets outed, new BlackBerry included - Engadget Mobile
It has a sim card because it is a GSM phone.
