The Jawbone doesn't support a2dp. As far as I know, no mono bluetooth headsets supports a2dp.
I use the Venturi Mini in my car to pull the stereo bluetooth signal from my phone and pipe it through my car's FM stereo. Sounds great, although the area I live in (NYC area) has virtually no unused FM frequencies, so from time to time I do run into interference from radio stations.
One of the things I found out yesterday is that while you cannot have multiple bluetooth connections active simultaneously (i.e. multiple bluetooth headsets), I can use the Venturi Mini to pipe the music through my stereo via bluetooth and use my bluetooth headset simultaneously.
When the Venturi Mini attempts to pair to the phone upon startup, it will pair and then you can't pair up the headset. However, if you pair up the headset first, and then the Venturi Mini attempts to pair, it will fail because the headset is already in use. But if you manually set the Venturi Mini to pair up after the initial failure, then it pairs up successfully, but only using the a2dp profile. Voila, you can hear your tunes through the Venturi Mini, but then still have your BT headset for calls instead of having to rely on the Mini's speakerphone.
