I'm on the phone with a supervisor and me and her has no idea whats the icon near the 3G

it has the blackberry icon (4dots) so its..

3G (4 Dots) And Signal Bar

What does that 4 dots mean? Is it suppose to be there? or what?

I got my 3rd replacement yesterday.. and my time zone changes to god damn pacific time zone by itself... and my service went off it self as well..

so I got my first phone... same shit happened and messages were messed up and glitchy and etc.. indicators were there and i never got any messages blabla

got my second phone i did a restore on from desktop manager from the settings/files from my first one.. and same shit... and now i imported it to my current replacement and now the time zone changes itself and the service gets cut off itself and i have to manually re-enable it... why is that?

can anyone help me adjust the proper settings so my time zone wont change? and can someone help me please so my connection is not cut off from time to time?

Is it my settings files and backup from my first orginal phone and I been restoring from this phone? or is it corrupted? or what?

my connection preference?
turn off auto time zone update?

please help me anyone=[

I think the "BB" logo after the 3G means that you are connected to the RIM NOC, or something like that.

As far as the other question, have you tried turning off the "auto update time zone" and the "use network time"? I think then it will just use whatever time you punch in.

Maybe someone with more experience will chime in. In the meantime though, it's worth a shot.

4 dots after 3G = you have connection to the DATA network.

Actually the "G" goes from lower case to upper case to indicate a data connection, and the BB symbol (4 dots) indicates you're connected to the BlackBerry infrastructure much like the grey / while WIFI symbol.

I had this question myself. Somewhere on the AT&T site, is a walkthrough/tutorial. It's actually pretty good. The link below is to download the image. I couldn't upload it because of the weird dimensions. And most image hosts are the same. It's the same as the one included with the phone, but it has the icons missing from the book, like the above mentioned one. Just in case you want to give it a looksie.
