I prefer Google Maps. I get resolution down to 3 meters which is pretty damn good for a cell phone based GPS.

I actually gave my wife the dash mounted Tom-Tom and use my 9700/Google Maps whenever I need to navigate anywhere unfamiliar.

I care that I can function "starred" locations on my desktop, as well as then search/get instructions against them on my hand-held.

i would have to agree that the best bet is to try both and see which one you prefer more. i do like the speed of bbmaps, however google maps seems to have a better search feature, and i like and use the traffic feature quite often when driving on the highway...just give both a try in some different situations and see what you like best...

I recently tried Bing maps and seems to be decent. Don't need a data plan as Google maps seems to require it. What I mean is that if you use just wifi as data, I couldn't get Google Maps for some reason but Bing was available.
