Have a user who adds contacts from both Outlook (Exchange 2k7) as well as on her handheld. Sometime in July it stopped syncing and she wasn't aware of it till the other day. She wants to have them sync again.

I know of the process on the handheld where you delete and undelete the desktop(sync)...but my question is if there are contacts she's added to her handheld that aren't in Exchange will they be lost if I do this? She "absolutely cannot lose" any contacts that may have not synced from her BB to BES/Exchange.

Ideas?

In outlook Make a new folder for contacts called backup

move all contacts to the folder and wait for all to be removed from device

then pull battery on device and put back in

After device boots move contacts from backup to the contacts folder and wait for them all to appear

Make a new contact in outlook and see if it gets to the device.

What about the contacts on her device not in outlook?

once all are removed from outlook the ones on device usually sync after.
