If the only connection you have is Wifi and you OTA the opera program can you use it? I hear you can you use it and you cant? I have the wap settings set correct and get the failed to connect to the internet message at the end? I know this topic is floating around but no one has really explained a fix if there is?

I tried using Opera mini before I had the data service and it never worked. Once I subscribed to data services Opera Mini worked. Then I Unsubsribed from data services and opeara quit working also.

So from that it looks like you need Data Services for Opera Mini to work.

Wirelessly posted (8320 Curve: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Opera will not work unless ypou have the data plan UNLESS you set it to http connectipn rather than SOCKET in the OM options. OM uses the APN to connect. The APN is set from the carrier. If you end up with full UMA, it may work if you set the APN and have opera set to http, but it will NEVER work W/o a data plan unless you set it to http and have full UMA

In general apps will need to be rewritten for WiFi.
