Ever since I made the jump from alltel's outdated 4.3.x.xx to the first posted 4.5OS, I've had some weird data issues.

For example...I've been getting a lot of "this application needs a working data connection" or related errors, socket errors, etc. At times it takes several tries to get things to work such as...gmail, BBweather, BeeJiveIM, and BB browser. There can be times where I can't send/receive data for hours on end, and it doesn't help that Alltel has been suffering TONS of data outages over the last 6 months. My signal strength seems to be the same as it was before, just having these weird data issues.

My data/internet has never been too fast since the closest tower is a Digital/Analog tower(resulting in 1x and 1X only), I live too far from the EV tower to see anything above 130kbps bandwidth average. It just sucks that it's no longer as reliable as it was before. When I'm online with my pc, using my 8130 as a BT modem...usually no issues at all, only seems to happen when using the phone itself.

Anyone else having the same problems?
