Default urgent: Bold hourglass problem...please help

Please Login to Remove!

Dear All,
we had in the company blackberry 8707 which were replcaed recently with bold 9000 due to limited memory and continous hourglass problem and email deletion. Now after 1 month, we have the same problem with the bold 9000. Hourglass started to appear and emails are being deleted. The bold devices have internal 1 GB of memory in addition to SD card of 1GB. Where are the emails being stored? if on the SD cards, will upgrading the SD cards to 8GB solve the problem?

thanks.

Nope, apps and all are stored on the device memory, Try pulling the battery to free up the memory,

To answer your question on e-mail storage. Your e-mails are part of the internal memory and not the media card. Media card can sometimes save certain third party apps. For the most part, its designed to save pictures, music, video, ringtones etc

Wirelessly posted (Lets Go Canes!)

No. The card is NOT designed for that. The email gets truncated and is NOT using as much memory as you think. What 3rd party apps do you have on the phone? You probably have a memory leak.

You can still uninstall certain apps that came with the phone (eg. memopad, games, etc.) Uninstall everything you do not need. Also, clear the browser, cache, delete the logs (alt + right caps + LGLG), pull the battery, if possible, set the phone to remove emails earlier or other messages. Also, upgrade the phones to the latest os.
