there is no response on 'compose mail' when i access my gmail account through blackberry hub. for facebook i can post from BB hub (latest OS version).

You need to give more detail. How are you accessing the email account? Do you receive emails ok? Can you send any emails? Do you have a data plan for your phone with your carrier?
