Default Can't Start BB Router

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all!

I've got a Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1 installed and connected to my Groupwise 6.5.6 system.

The problem is, I can't get the Blackberry Router Service to start. It always fails with the error:

[DIAG] EVENT=bind_failed, ERROR=10048

I ran through the troubleshooting steps in KB04186, and every test was succesful, but still, no router.

The BB Manager shows SRP: Disconnected.

The firewall is open to traffic from port 3101, and I switched the physical device connect port to 4101.

Now the kicker: I'm running off of Windows XP Professional SP2, which isn't supported. All we have in the office are Netware servers.

Would XP be the root of my problem?

I've never tried BES on an XP machine ... there's an article in the BTSC - KB04675 - SRP StartListening failed

but I'd say XP is probably the cause ... anything else in the logs?

Ok, ran through thoughs documents, thanks!

Turns out it was the Watchguard Management console running on the same machine.

I ended up installing on a Windows 2K box anyway though.
