Sometimes I check and delete my email from my office using Outlook. When I check my BB I have all of those messgaes that have already been dealt with and I just want to delete all of them and start fresh as I leave to go on the road.
On my old Treo there is a feauture where I can "Tag ALL" and delete. Does this kind of feature exist on the 8830? I couldn't find it and right now I am deleting them ONE BY ONE.
Thanks

You can highlight a date and select delete prior from the menu.
Also, at least on the 8700, holding the num key and scrolling will highlight messages which can then be deleted as a group. May work same way on your model except using the ball instead of a wheel, or some similar combination.
And, see the help app on the blackberry. It really is useful for this kind of stuff, no kidding.

Highlight first E Mail and then hold down "shift" key while scrolling down. Hit "Delete" and they are gone.

Everytime I receive a BB message a gong sounds and I can't figure out how to lower the volume of it or change it to something quieter. I shakes the house!

Profiles. Click on it, then click on advanced and drill down in the menus and options to edit the tone, volume, and number of repeats.
