BB software issues

I have downloaded the destop software (4.2.2.14) and the handeld software 4.3.0.7. But when I look in my options on my phone it still says that i am on version v4.1.0.351. How do i update the software on my BB?

Also, when i connect my BB to my PC and open the desktop manager, media manager it tells me that there is no device connected

Don't forget to delete the vendor file
Don't forget to connect to your pc's usb port NOT a usb hub

There is no handheld OS 4.3.07 for the 8700 model.

No such thing. You either want OS 4.2.xxx or fully upgrade to OS 4.5, see the yellow sticky thread at the top of this 8700 section of the forum.
