i have a blackberry 7250 and the verizon service on it is canceled and i was wondering if there is a way of erasing the origonal phone # off of it and all of the other information. or am i just going to need a new sim card and if thats the case then where and how would i be able to get one and if i were to get one would i be able to get one for a different service other than verizon jus incase i can't find one for verizon one thanks!

Verizon doesn't use SIM cards.

You have at least three options: 1) Go to options, security, click trackwheel and select "wipe handheld". (2) Type in the incorrect password 10 times, and (3) If on a BES, have the admin send a "kill" command to your handheld.

Ensure you keep a backup file of your handheld, should you decide to go with another Blackberry again soon.

and none of those will "remove" the phone number off the device. Cancelling the service with vzw is the best you can do.
