How to forward an attach deleting conversation thread

I have a BB 7290 and sometimes I just wanted to forward an attached document I have received. But it comes with a message like "send this to that stupid".... and I cannot simply delete that awful comment. Does anybody know how to edit messages before forwarding them??

This is something I'd like to know too. I've been copy/pasting what I want to keep back into the message body after deleting the original text completely. There has to be a better way.

This is new to me... and how do you avoid deleting the attached document?
