RIM NOC System status?

Today we've been getting a lot (read: 4) SRP disconnect/reconnects and trying to determine if it's our side or RIM's side. Anyone happen to know if RIM has a system status report we can refer to?

Transparent app to check if a device is alive?

Anyone know of an app we can deploy (silently) so we can test for connectivity? I know we can do a pin to pin or <confirm> test but that shows up on the user's device. Is there anything out there...

If you have the 8100, you will need to install the handheld software on each BES. From my understanding, the 8100 is too new for the BES to understand how to push apps to it. That's what I had to do...
