Welcome to the forums,
First do you have a Blackberry Data Plan? No BB data plan, no browser. Second, make sure it's not hidden. From the home screen click the menu key. Select "show all." If it's a faded out icon then it's hidden. Just highlight it and select "unhide." Third, if it's not hidden and you have a data plan go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Highlight any line and hit the menu key and select "Register Now." That should bring it back. If not, call your carrier and have them check your provisioning to make sure that the BB data plan is enabled.

Wow, thanks! It worked! I did the Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table as you mentioned. The internet browser appeared again. Once again, thanks!

I have the 8100 and only have "Browser" but no "Internet Browser." The option to switch the default browser from "BlackBerry Browser" to "Internet Browser" is there but it seems like the icon is just missing. Doing the Register Now didn't seem to work and neither did resending my service books from my BIS account. One of those usually did the trick on my 8700. Any other ideas to get this icon back on the 8100?

The reason I need the Internet Browser is because my company has a web blocker and blocks many of my freeware/blackberry sites.

TIA

Zero, try pulling your battery and rebooting meanwhile... can't hurt and it might show up.

Thanks JSanders. Tried but doesn't seem to work. In another thread I read that the 8xxx series removed the 3 browsers and only have 2. The WAP browser and combined MDS/BIS into one.

Any 8100 owners out there that actually have all 3 browser icons?

On the 8100, and all 4.2+ devices for that matter, the browsers are integrated into one. There is a way to separate them that I was shown once, but I don't remember how.

You can still use the different browsers by opening the browser menu, selecting go to, entering your address, then pushing the menu button and selecting choose browser

If you find out let me know. Calling TSupport didn't bring anything new. They said, even checking with a senior person there, that there's no way to have two separate icons :(
