I haven't had this problem, (yet!), but if I did I believe I would think very carefully before using anything as strong as bleach on my Blackberry. I don't think bleach would truly clean it anyway...

I tried several places to get an 8707v unlocked, without success - I tried gsmphonesource following the recommendations on here and although it took over 2 weeks he got the unlock code for me.

It would, but my understanding is that as it goes through the providers data connection rather than through 'Blackberry', it is not covered within the tariff - ie use the 'Blackberry' browser (ugh!)...
