Do a hard reset on your phone, go back to Desktop Manager and try again. Then watch your phone - it will ask you if you allow the connection. Click Yes. And it should connect.

It is a driver issue. Dig around and find out what kind of stack your BT adapter uses and see if you can experiment with other drivers (if any.) And... always make sure you upgrade to the latest...
