I doubt it has to do with that. I was running 75, 99, 103, and 109 on my bad one, and on the good one I ran 75 and 109. The good one sounded good on all, and the bad one sounded bad on all.

I think you are correct. Just ran my tests again and it sounds far less muffled when I cover that hole at the top of the phone, and more muffled again as soon as I remove it.

And the memory leak problem in 77 is either better or completely fixed. I haven't dropped below 10MB yet, and after this amount of time the 77 version would have definitely been below that for me.
