This is a great fix but I think the real problem lies in a Gmail setting. I had this same issue and can't remember how I fixed it but I know it was a gmail setting... Sorry but I will research it...

I heard that the VZNAV application is a major contributor to the memory leak issue. I removed mine yesterday and it has gotten better but still seems to be VERY LOW on memory. I have NO MEDIA...
