Mapquest navigator is free and does not have a 30 day limit. It says it's a free 30 day trial, but after 30 days it just keeps working.

I got the 8703e from Sprint about a week ago. The wheel was a lot stiffer than I remember my 8700c being, but after about a week of use, it eased up a bit. I think you just need to break it in.
