The only issues I have with these blackberrys now...

The only issues I have with these blackberrys now is that the volume buttons are used exclusively for volume... I'd like if they had them functions as a scroll buttons when a volume button is not...

Is the keyboard different? The keys seem to be shaped the same, but the topography of the buttons seems to be different... Almost 8800-like, in the way that they seem to be raised higher at the top...

maybe the keypad was meant for a german phone,...

maybe the keypad was meant for a german phone, but was placed on a US spec phone... anyway, mine was made in mexico as well, but the build quality seems pretty good...

I too am having the fried sharpie ink problem... It started as a nice blue but now, as you have described, it is a faded light blue... It's the second time I've colored over the bulb but i'm not sure...
