Default My number

I recently purchased a Blackberry 9530 and have unlocked it to use on T-Mobile. When the phone appliction is active, the phone number of the previous owner is displayed on the screen of the phone. Is there a way to change this?

Perhaps the SIM Card Phone Number field that the blackberry uses hasn't gotten updated?

1. Go to 'Options'
2. Select 'Advanced Options'
3. Select 'SIM Card'
4. Make sure that the Phone Number field Matches yours, if not change it, as this is the data field that the Blackberry queries when displaying the My Number on the call screen.
5. If you do change this number, you will most likely have to reset (do a battery pull) to get the changes to show up on the call screen.

That does not work for CDMA devices being used on GSM services.

No problem. It's easy enough to do.
