Default Any opinions on the Jawbone II??

Please Login to Remove!

After months of trying, I can't get my Jawbone to work with my 8120. I noticed the Jawbone II is out and "says" it will work with the 8120 and I'm wondering if anyone has had any success with it??

I have the Jawbone 2 and it is great now as I figured out the proper use of the buttons. I went through 5 Motorola BT prior to switching to the JB 2

I too was thinking of getting the JBII.......how good does the noise reducer really work in real life? And how is the battery life?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8120)

I've got the jawbone 2 and an AT&T 8120 and it works perfectly for me. I like it a lot better than my original jawbone. Much smaller and lighter. The noise cancelling feature works great for the person you're calling, but if you ask me, any noise reduction feature on a Bluetooth headset is a scam. Sure, your callers can't hear the fans in your server room, or the other background noise, but it doesn't gelo you hear them over the noise...not that its meant to, but it'll only get you so far.

I tried the Jawbone 2 - are you around jackhammers a lot? If the noise source is outside the speech band, and especially at lower frequencies, it does a good job of eliminating the noise. I did a test with a car radio turned up to 20 and recited "Jabberwocky" and the guy I was talking to said the pumping in the noise cancellation logic made the whole thing unintelligible.

I personally have a bias against in-ear solutions (research done by audiologists into some pretty disgusting germs commonly growing on hearing aids convinced me) and a bias against things that aren't stereo.

But I've been toying with the idea of carrying a Jawbone 2 when I travel in case I find myself somewhere like a trade show and can't be heard without it.

I had the first Jawbone for an hour and I returned it. Bad fit, too big, and I wasn't impressed with the sound quality. I'm now the happy owner of a Jawbone II and it's nearly everything I ever wanted in a BT earpiece. It's light, fits great, and works flawlessly. My only gripe, if you can call it that, is that I wish it was a little louder but for most calls I have no problems.
