Hello, I'm considering purchasing the Curve 8330 but have a couple of questions regarding the usage charges. Any help would be appreciated.
1. Under the service plan it says $1.99/mb. Does that include using email and IM or does that just apply to web browsing.
2. There's a second charge for "Blackberry email and web" that says push email and internet access. So does this eliminate the usage charge mentioned above or do I still need another data package (per mb or unlimited).
3. Can anyone give a rough estimate of how long you can browse the web before using 1MB?
I have no idea what carrier you are referring to, but you need the BlackBerry Data Plan on most carriers--Sprint, Verizon, etc., since you mention the 8330 it is a CDMA network.
The length of time you browse does not determine your data usage, it is the bandwidth you use.
Thanks for the reply, I forgot to mention that it's through Verizon.
What I'm trying to figure out is what they charge for data usage. Under the rate plan that you choose for minutes and texts it says "mobile web2.0 - $1.99/mb" then when you go to the data plans to add in addition to the first plan and that says "Blackberry email and web - push email and internet access" for another $29.99 per month.
My question is if I add that second data plan do I still get charged 1.99/mb for mobile web2.0 or does it give me unlimited. It makes it seem like it would be unlimited but I don't trust this stuff.
