I am not sure exactly what you are asking but if it is how to stop email from coming in go to:
"Manage Connections"
"Mobile Network Options"
"Data Services"
Click the word "on" and it will give you the option to turn off email yet keep phone on.

Happy to help..... I spent a week trying to figure that out. I went to a half dozen Att stores and asked on the forum with no luck before I figured it out by accident by my self. I felt like a fool for not figuring it out quick. Have fun with your BB .... I am.

However, now you just cut off all MMS messaging, browser, and any other apps that rely on your data connection to function.

This is an important point to remember. Thanks for bringing it up. Other options to reduce email is to set up a new email account and only have it come to your phone. You might be able to redirect certain email from old account to new account from selective addresses. You can also try filters but I have not had very good luck with them on my BB. I am sure there are some other great ideas out there. It was so easy with my Palm Treo to manage I have struggled with my BB over this. I will get 200 to 300 business emails a day. It is time consuming just deleting them one at a time. I need to check my email via BB on the road but only when on the road.

Wirelessly posted

You can delete them all at once (on the bb only) by highlighting the date, pressing the bb button, and selecting "delete prior". Hope that helps.

Personally, I recommend just changing to a profile that doesn't alert you to new email.

I think I finally got filters set. At the moment only mail that I want to come through is coming through. I am learning something new about my BB everyday and loving it more each day. Thanks to everyone on this forum. Thanks especially for putting me in touch with Adam at GSM Phone Source. I just did a unlock with his help. Next big project is to try and tether my 8310 to my new Wind mini-notebook. Yes, I'll search before I begin asking questions. lol
