I would be surprised if it is a software issue with the sensitivity of the GPS. That SHOULD be hardware only.....

...but, I could be wrong. :P

Note: I am *not* requesting a download link. The source I've found has a file that is only 54.1 MB in size. This is significantly smaller than all previous beta OSes I've installed. Can anyone verify whether this is the correct size of the 4.5.0.69 file?

Yup, b/c that's the English-only version. Please proceed.

Good luck!

Thank you. I'll install later today and add my observations to this thread. OS 4.5.0.52 has been working pretty well, but I'm always up for an adventure.

I moved my post to the 8310 thread but I forgot to remove this one.

I believe RIM adjust the power of the GPS hardware in an effort to balance functionality with battery life. If that is the case then software would make a difference but I don't know for sure that is the case. I do know with the previous beta I could get a GPS fix very quickly in my basement but with this release I am having to hold the device out the window of the car. I am also getting lots of errors with GPS applications with this release that I never noticed before.

I am using .69 for over 48 hours now on my 8320. Working just great.

Then only comment I have is about the speaker volume. It seems to have gone down when compared to .52

I jumped from .52 to .69

My ringtones and alarm sounds are much lower even when I confirgured thim to be high. I think I use to get a better volume on .52 even when I had the sounds configured at Medium.

But not a big deal... The rest works just GREAT.

I live in NJ now...but I used to be from yo-town -- many years in Philly, and even a couple in Germantown (not far from Mt. Airy!).

Is GMM 2.X still hanging at 80 or 90% when on a sw config policy w/BES?
Try installing the desktop using bes email option on the pc that can connect to the exchange server. It will resync your phone with the bes after the upgrade. This works for using dt 4.5

Just off the LaSalle Campus and while .69 is working the best yet, despite the volume issues. Poor cellular TMo coverage area, and H@H/Comcast issues are making me a headcase!!

Default mem leak

tmo 8320 .69... google maps, chat and docs to go are the only 3rd party apps and I appear to have a pretty wicked mem leak. After rebooting I'm at 11.2megs, in the course of the day I can end up at ~8. I've run all the other betas and this is the worse I've had it.

any ideas?

thanks
MS

I downloaded 4.5.069 and .72 from orange..I have the latest DM and deleted the vender file. When I plug in my device, it does not give me the option to upgrade. If I go into application loader its not there other than some other apps that I downloaded. I have unistalled the DM and the device software twice and re-started the computer then re-installed all of it again and still when I plug in my device it does not give me the option to upgrade my software....What can I do?
