yes, the 8310 will get a video recorder (as long as you have a media card inserted.)

It needs the service book. No service book, no BBMaps. Just like the browser.

I don't know for every carrier, but some carriers don't send it at all. I can't recall if Rogers is one of them. I know AT&T users can't use the new BBMaps.

Do you have a BBMaps service book? Look in Options >Advanced Options >Service Book.

Just wanted to say thanks, and great find. Been away for a little while, just found out about 5.2 at work, yesterday, came home to try it, and to my surprise(and delight), found .55. Great early B-Day present 4 me, I have my camera back, and all issues I had with .37 are gone. I love it.

This particular release doesn't include Chinese language.

It does this while it scans the card. Also, it loads programs into memory as you open them and it will be faster after that. Give it a little time and the lagginess will go away.

I just applied this OS update and my phone keeps restarting. If I keep the device busy by constantly moving the trackball, it stays running. If I let it go for a minute or so, or if I try to sync the device, it restarts.

This happened to me before and I just had to downgrade the OS back to 4.2 and it would stop restarting. I would really like to have 4.5 on my phone.

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

What happens if you remove the media card? Constant rebooting issues are usually caused by the Media card. If removing the card fixes it then you'll want to move your data off the card and reformat it in OS 4.5.

Hello all - new to the forum.

Just installed 4.5 - no problems - lovely!

Additionally,
I have been fighting the dreaded 'flashing red light 3-2 'problem for the last week. I managed to get my blackberry back to life by removing the battery and reinserting LOADS.

I immediately plugged it in and installed 4.5 - No more 3-2 hang issue and the new OS is splendid.

enjoy
