Default Email tone problems after 4.5 update?

Please Login to Remove!

Under my profiles, I no longer have an option to set a tone (notification) for emails for either account I have set up on my BB. I still get the red flashing LED and little new message icon, but I can't set a tone, and it plays nothing aloud as far as when I get an email. My install of 4.5 wasn't entirely flawless (had to wipe using JL_Cmder and then give it another shot, but after that, apparently no other problems) but other than that everything seems to be ok. Anyone got any ideas?

Yep, that was the first thing I tried. Battery pull, make sure it isn't somewhere else in the options, delete third party apps, etc...Looks like it may be another wipe and install for me :-/ (Anyone think vista could be the culprit in this situation since that's what I'm installing from? I know other people had problems even getting it installed on vista, but I managed that no problem.)

Fixed it...for anyone else with this problem: just go in delete the email setup and re-add them to fix it...sometimes I feel so dumb

You shouldn't feel dumb. That is how you learn stuff, and because you took the time to work on it, and fix it, now others can learn from your experience. You are not dumb, you are smart.

Wow, such positive reinforcement! HF is right, it was not an obvious solution and good for you for trying to fix it yourself.

Yeah, I tend to just overlook things that should be simple, so I just post up here to make it easier on others. Too many times I find a forum where someone just posts up "nevermind I fixed it" and no one else can learn from it. Linux boards are awful in that regard a lot of times.

Lets face it, this is not the easiest phone to get just right. Anytime someone comes up with a solution to a problem, posting it will definitely help others.

I hate seeing posts like this: "Nevermind, I got it. Mods, you can delete." WTF? Post up the solution so that others can learn from you.
