Default HELP! Phone won't stop freezing!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I need your advice please!

My phone will freeze after 3-5 min of turning it on everytime. I waited for 10min and it was still frozen! I have to do a battery pull everytime to get it to turn back on. This is really irritating me, can someone help me?

Btw, Im on a 8820 with OS 4.5 if that matters.

Thanks

Was the phone dropped or come in contact with water at any point?

Have you installed any 3rd party apps on the device prior to this starting?

Did this occur before the OS upgrade?

Phone was dropped from like a foot off the ground but that was almost 6 hours before the problem.

No contact with water.

Just my three usual programs: Facebook, Jivetalk, and Google Maps

It didn't :(

It just randomly happened

If the phone is still under warranty or you have insurance take it back to TMO. How much memory is available, maybe you have too many emails, pics, ect.

That was my first reaction. How much free memory? That could have a lot to do with it.

Have you tried a battery pull with the device on?

If you upgraded to OS 4.5 recently, try removing your media card... if this solves the problem, try removing the photos from the card and reinstalling it. If the solution still holds, try putting the photos back on the media card a few at a time until you identify the culprits. Good luck!

Default Media card must be formatted...

After going through several upgrades and subsequent downgrades, it was determined the culprit behind the constant freezing or rebooting was indeed the media (MicroSD) card.
Remove the card and get the berry booted up, then insert the card and format it using the Options > Media Card menu.
The file structure appears to have changed from the 4.2 and earlier versions.
Currently running 4.5.0.77 (8830) flawlessly (except the known youtube grief from the Canadian carriers).
