I was able to upgrade to .77 and was able to get the Korean fonts to work. Just sent service books and I think I have the HTML E-mail fixed. I wanted to say thanks to everyone on the board that assisted. What a great place to learn.

Thanks again,

Brian

Options > Advanced > HRT > Menu > Register.

You may need to remove the battery and replace it in the BB to reboot.

You can also login into your BIS account (https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw)
and you have the option the option to resend yout service books on the left, but JSanders way is easier/faster escpecially when you got you BlackBerry in your hand.

Just so everyone is aware, the link provided above is for Verizon customers... Not everyone is a verizon customer ;)

Most likely because VZW's official version is still 4.3.

I really like this version. I can get my emails as they look,

FIRST BUG I FOUND...
PS, THIS IS WHAT I DO FOR A LIVING..

If I use Blackberry emulation for my browser, some form buttons (like on ebay) do now work and show up as corrupt images, like a half of a button, If I change it to MS Pocket IE, work flawlessly.

PS, I can not visit more site without crashing with 4.5...

go figure..

UPDATE: I turned off Style Sheets and went back to Blackberry emulation and it work OK now. I did find a problems with style sheets with all the emulation modes in the BB. Best to keep it unchecked.

Unfortunately you are right there. I really like .77 and was somewhat unhappy that I had to downgrade to 4.3 but I guess that's life. Sooner or later I will figure out how to get back on it. I think that might mean an upgrade to the Storm when it comes out...

You said that it wouldnt allow you to download the software until you downgraded to 4.3. Now that your on 4.3, and have the software downloaded/installed, did you try to upgrade your blackberry to 4.5 and see if it would still work properly? Seems like an upgrade wouldnt kill the app since all you said was that you couldnt download it.

I found out today that I can not download the E*Trade Mobile Pro application (designed for BBs) as my BB is "not a supported device." After talking to their tech support, they apparently will not recognize my operating system until after VZW recognizes and supports it. Oh well...not worth going backwards!

VZNav was just updated:

Maybe it'll download now for 4.5.

When I click the first link on the first page, the only version I can download is 4.3, why can't I have access to 4.5?

Copied from the very first line of the very first posting of this thread:

"Edit: 09/05/2008: USCellular has pulled the link. We'll post back when it's added back. Sorry folks."

You might be able to find .66 or .77 if you do an internet search.

Can i upgrade to this new OS even if my provider doesn't list it on the BB download page?

I am with Bell Canada, and the current OS they list is 4.3.0.124.

I have been having lots of errors today (App Error 523) and i am hoping upgrading will help.

thanks
