Default Tiny Font Size in Internet Browser

Please Login to Remove!

I use the FT website a lot - generally look at it a few times a day on my B'Berry. However, its now coming out with tiny font! Its very difficult to read - here is an example:

FT.com | FT Alphaville

I've changed both the Default font size and Minimum Font Size to 9 in General Options, but the result is the same. I didn't have this problem on my 8110. Does anyone have any ideas?

I just went to the page you linked to and I was able to change the font sizes normally. I have my default size set to 6 and the font was as I would expect it to be, so I changed it to 9 and it changed to a larger size...I don't see any issues with my 8320.

Maybe try a battery pull...

Hi

I have the same problem on a few sites. I can change the font size for this wap forum for example but not some others to it could be a combination of an OS problem and a site issue. I have the .147 OS too but the problem was also there on OS.126.

I just use I to zoom in on these sites now.

Thanks guys. However, I've tried changing the minimum font size and it makes no difference. In addition, zooming is no good either because it cuts off some of the text. I have to scroll left and right for each line!

To get the changes to take effect I had to clear my cache and history, try that or a battery pull.

theres no way you can fit so much content into screen with these dimensions without :
A) reducing the size of the content
B) having to pan right or left

But in my 8110 the text used to wrap? Whereas now it isn't?

I don't know if I'm explaining this badly, but I never had the problem on my 8110!

I did have this problem before I think it was with 135.

The font was small and I just increased the font now to 9 and It's fine with wrapping! Thank God as I hate all this zooming and panning.

Does not the Bold use HTML browsing while the Pearl used an Enhanced WAP browser?

i'm having the same problem... on the curve the text wrapped but this is quite a pain to have to zoom and pan all the time as the cursor is pretty slow... sure it can be solved but its not a pleasant browsing experience at all at the moment on a lot of sites..

I have just figured this out! If you switch from Page View to Column View it appears using the font sizw you set the minimum to be and it wraps the text!

Yes - I think that explains why it was working when some people changed the minimum font size but not for me! I think my 8110 defaulted to column view (page view wasn't very good on the Pearl), whereas the Bold defaults to Page View - so I hadn't thought of changing it!

Anyway - I can now keep up to date and read it while walking!
