will unlocked Rogers Bold work on ATT?
Please Login to Remove!
are the 3g frequencies the same for rogers as ATT in US? I know they are different for T-Mobile but can't seem to find the answer for Rogers and ATT

Yes it works perfect. No issues with service books or any other issues for that matter.

flawlessly! I have had no problems whatsoever. 3G is good and I'm using OS .134. No crashes, no memory leaks, and long (easily one full day with moderate use) battery life. I got mine from a Rogers store in Windsor, ON.

No issues, just slide in your SIM and away you go.

one thing to keep in mind of ordering online is alot of units on craigslist, ebay and the likes are mostly Blacklisted IMEI's and cant be unlocked. so order froma trusty source or buy from rogers retail directly if possible.. otherwise the device is fully functional once unlocked
cheerz

I'll add that mine is working very well too. Love it. Don't regret getting a Rogers Bold in the least.

Using the search feature will show a number of threads of reputable dealers who have sold Rogers 9000 units to people here in the US. I was very happy that I actually got the unlock code from the dealer via e-mail before Fed-Ex delivered the phone. I was on-line within 10 minutes of receiving the phone and have never looked back. http://www.sntradersonline.com

Yep, sure does work. I have a BOLD on At&t and using 3g, BIS email also works - no issues. All you have to do for BIS is switch the PIN on the BIS site. I did not even have to call At&t..

Yeah whatever happens, don't call AT&T. At the risk of sounding stupid, calling AT&T has the potential to get the feeling you are talking to a wall when you tell them you are trying to activate a device they don't support yet. Yikes!

Not true. I spoke with two different AT&T reps, one in-store, and one over the phone. Both weren't in the least bit surprised that I was adding a Rogers Bold to my AT&T service. The rep over the phone even initiated a conversation with me asking how I liked it because she was going to get one herself.
I had the rep at the store add my IMEI to my account (which might not be required but is good practice). When I called the rep later that afternoon, the system indicated I had a Bold. She knew my device without me telling her.
AT&T's system is definitely setup to handle the Bold, and unquestionably supports it now. The service books I got were all matched to the Bold's new theme (icons were the new style). All the software recognized my device as a Bold.

I agree...did the exact same thing yesterday. Identical conversations with store rep and tech support. I actually brought in my BB box nd the rep scanned in the IMEI. He did not know what would come up on the screen but it instantly showed BB 9000.
Mine is unlocked and unbranded and almost all the rep (one's who cared) asked to play with it.
