Default Sprint vs Verizon!!

Please Login to Remove!

I am getting a curve 8330. I don't know if i should by a verizon or a sprint.

I would like to get a 450minute plan. And I would love to add an email&web service If affordable.

Which one do you think is cheaper.??

PS- When I went to the sprint web site they said this..
Unlimited Email and Web - $49.99/mo. (with 1-yr. agreement), $39.99/mo. (with voice plan and 2-yr. agreement*) Does that mean unlimted email is included in my plan?

Sprint has a great deal (27% off your bill) for anyone that has a Chase account, not sure if Verizon has anything like that.

It isn't which one is cheaper, it is which one has the best coverage where you will use the device, where you live, work, travel and play. Because the cheap plan is too expensive if you don't have service when and where you need it.

I'm fairly certain you can't get a BlackBerry through Sprint without a data plan. I know that you need a data plan with Verizon.

The Curve is a cool phone. Everyone I know who has one loves it. Also, everyone I know who has Sprint hates it. Except those on a SERO plan, of course. In any event, few are the times where you should choose Sprint over Verizon. Even if VZW costs a little more, it's worth it.

Go with Verizon trust me. I do not know one happy person on Sprint. Look at the coverage maps, that should tell you all you need to know. Plus, with Verizon you can get the BB Storm!

Pick your carrier based on real world coverage. Don't rely on coverage maps.

The BB BIS plan for Sprint is $30/month and includes unlimited data AND texting AND tv AND telenav. But yeah base it on coverage and cs.

Sprint is cheaper. Verizon has better coverage. You have to decide for yourself which way to go on that compromise.

The difference in price, for me, was $10 or 20 per month. In other words, I could have paid 10 or 20 dollars a month less (on a plan with 900 voice minutes plus Unlimited Blackberry data and BB Enterprise services) and gone with Sprint. I chose to pay the extra to have the better coverage from Verizon.

I was a happy Sprint customer for 10 years living in Florida. No service issues, no billing problems, upgraded every two years. Yeah, the CS stinks, but I never really needed CS anyhow. Moved to New England and Sprint coverage is horrible, so switched to Verizon. If I were still in FL, I probably would have had no reason to leave Sprint.

I have a Curve with Verizon and the unlimited data BIS is $30 a month on top of the 450 minute plan, which I think is $50? Somewhere around there. Based on my personal experience with Sprint and Verizon - Verizon has MUCH better coverage in both areas I've lived - Northern Viriginia and along the coast of South Carolina.

After checking the Verizon site, I found the 450 minute plan with unlimited data and email is $79.99 a month
That includes unlimited "IN" calling and unlimited nights and weekends, on top of the 450 minutes.

I guess it depends on coverage in your area. For me, the extra $10 a month is worth it for better service. Plus I've been on a family plan with Verizon for about 4 years now and haven't found a reason to switch service providers.
