Noticed that Vodafone Uk have an official upgrade for the 8310 on their website. They make no mention of deleting vendor file as mentioned on this forum. Do I have to do it anyway even though I am with vodafone currently.

Never tried an upgrade before so thought I would check before having a go.

have just finished doing my first upgrade to 4.5, I'm also on Vodafone. The upgrade went okay, although it does take a while.

I don’t know if you will get this problem as well, but I was unable to make or receive any calls after the upgrade. Although the data through the BES worked fine.

I did a bit of playing about and found this message coming up supplementary service error. The solution seems to be a hard reset (take out battery while device is on) and deleting all you speed dials.

I'm now all up and running and happy that I have not fried my bb.

If you got your device from Vodafone then there is no need to delete the vendor.xml file. That only needs to be done if you are loading an OS from another carrier.

has anyone got a link to the 4.5 upgrade from Vodafone? I cant find it on their website :(
