Please Login to Remove!

hello all
i just bought a brand new Bold, and love it!!
i am only having some problems with adding certain contacts to it (PIN) some of them are added as soon as the other contact accepts, others are not, even if they accept or they add me and i accept. FYI i am in Italy on Vodafone.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Make sure you have each others PINs in your contacts. I notice that increases your probability of success.

You are adding via pin correct, not email. Sometimes you just have to keep trying. I had this problem with two BB sitting right in front of me.

From my perspective it is voodoo. I was sitting next to a colleague and we did the following:

1) We both used the Address->Lookup feature to find each other's Outlook Address Book record and Add it to the locak Address Book. (Stinks to have to replicate something that can't be synced later)

2) I sent him and invite. He saw it and responded in the affirmative. He never left pending on my BB.

3) We both deleted each other in BB messenger. I sent him and invite. He saw it and responded in the affirmative. He never left pending on my BB.

4) We both deleted each other in BB messenger. He sent me an invite. I saw it and responded in the affirmative. We were then added to each other's BB messenger and could start to communicate.

Any ideas how to do it successfully the first time?

its interesting what you say, but this doesnt hapen with just one contact, i currently have 5 contacts "pending" and they each are from different parts in the world, it gets to complicated to do what you say.
nbody has an answer to y this happens, weird!
thanks

Heres one. Most add fine, but some I try to add and it acts like it is sending the request via me having their pin number, and before I know if they accept or not, I get a request from my own gmail account asking ME to be buddies with myself! If I add myself, my bbm contact comes up under my own contact list and I can have a conversation with myself and two entities both named my bbm name. So I delete and try again. Keeps happening so I just start rejecting myself from becoming friends with myself. It's bizarre but my friend on his pearl on TMO has had that happen before too. I have never seen it on ATT until now on my Bold. I just keep trying over and over and eventually something works and we connect. PRETTY GHETTO for a $445 phone.

I have the same exact issue, and I also faced the issues mentioned by other member before.

It is frustrating and I cannot seem to egt it right and some contac no matter how I try they will never be added.
