Anyone having trouble connecting with their server today? As of 12:30 PM EST, my desktop component is unable to contact the server.

Was wondering if anyone else that uses the service is having issues.

Just hope they're not going out of business since they haven't responded to several tickets I have submitted (going on two weeks now).

Can't sync or connect online. I sent an e-mail a few minutes ago to support. Will report if I get a response. This happened a month or two ago -- seemed it was down for a few days and then came back. It's hard for me to believe they would go out of business right after releasing a new update -- usually new versions aren't developed when a company's demise is imminent.

Looks like the whole domain is down.

They're still down. Not just the service, but their entire website. That's what I meant by the "whole domain" is down. Essentially everything at "bberrysync.com". This is most likely why emails to them won't be getting through either.

I tried to go to the website about 20 minues ago and my browser (Avant Browser) showed the "website found. waiting for reply..." message in the status bar, but then timed out again. On previous failed attempts, it did not show the "website found" message.

How many users would anyone speculate bberrysync has?

Default BBerrySync Servers Down?

as of 0930 central time on Dec. 4, I am still unable to connect to BBerrySync via device, PC, nor open their web page from any browser. Glad to know it wasn't me doing something wrong...again. Thank you all for chiming in to let others know of same problem. Hard to comprehend how an e-business can allow their servers to be down for so long and not have back-up operations of some kind...

I'm starting to look for other options, in case bberrysync is gone for good. I'm looking at Companionlink. It's more expensive -- $99 for the "pro" version (which is required for OTA sync), plus $9.95 for the sync service. I'm sure I could find user opinions somewhere on this forum, but I'm more interested in whether bberrysync users have tried it and how it compares. Anyone?

Thinkpost is another option. $4 bucks a month.

I like the price compared to Companionlink. My tentative observation is that the Thinkpost.net website was slow and buggy (but they do "guarantee" 100% uptime), whereas Companionlink's website has a very solid feel. Not that all that really means anything about how good the service is...

Was going to try it but I was informed when I was downloading their sync software on my BB that there is no automatic syncing with the 8830 (my model). I don't want to have to remember to sync manually, so I'm looking for another option (assuming bberrysync is gone for good).

Might do it tonight and I will cancel it if bberrysync comes back up and has a good reason for being down

I'll say this for them -- I of course had to sign up to try it. So I sent them an e-mail at 7:54 saying I wanted a refund, and they sent me an e-mail at 7:57 saying a refund had been issued.

Even if they come back up, I'm not sure they'll give a "good reason" -- they were down from August 28 to the 30th or 31st then came back up with no explanation. It just started working again.
