So I currently have a Pearl with Tmobile, but Tmobile doesn't get any coverage at work. Just about every other network does (based on my co-workers say-so). Out comes the Storm. OMG, I think I'm in love. I'm absoulutely unimpressed with any other touch screen phones (including the iPhone), but the Storm is SEXY.

Unfortunately, at least around here (Milwaukee), only Verizon carries it. And Verizon does not get good reviews in the major metropolitan areas of Wisconsin. Are there any other plans for anyone else to pick up the Storm?

For at least the next couple of months, Verizon will be the only carrier of the Storm in the US. There is rumor that Sprint will have it, but I don't know the timeline for that.

Well I guess I can wait a couple of months to see what comes.

What about the Pearl 8220? Anywhere other than Tmobile?

There have been several rumors about where the Storm will go and when. I've heard that Sprint will be getting something similar to it, but the Storm itself.

It really all depends on what their contract is. So the 8220 could go somewhere else too eventually.

Hehe.. Ok. Need I say that I hate waiting? I hate to leave Tmobile, but I need better coverage, don't really wanna go to AT&T who has crappy customer service and OK phones, and REALLY don't wanna go to Verizon who has sexy phones and no coverage. :( I cant go back to anything not Blackberry, but don't wanna just stick with another Pearl either. Boo.

Well, It will work on any GSM carrier so that might help. look over <there<. 9530. Carrier: AT&T. See?

I love my iPhone. Does waaaaaay more than the berry, and the enterprise features are just as good, if not better. This post itself is off of my iPhone 3G.

True. But buying the phone off say eBay, unlocked and ready to use completely misses out on all of the deals you get when signing up for a new plan. Pearl Flip on Tmobile with plan and junk is about $150. eBay they seem to be running anywhere from about $200 to $350. Also don't get any phone protection (i.e. If it breaks or something) I'm not very hard on my phones, but still.

From another forum I heard the rumor the storm will be for Tmobile, time will tell.

I just got off the phone with sprint/bb support. (i had issues with 4.5 on my 8830) i small talked him and asked if he had heard any rumors.....he coyly asked...about what? I said a new BB....he said "maybe a touch screen device".....I said...THE STORM? He says..."well"....I said.........but it will not be called the storm will it? He said no............I said.........well the SMOKE?.........he laughed and said "there you go". So I guess the rumor mill is starting to filter to the reps now.............heres hoping!!!
