Well I'm posting here cause I'm using an ATT 8310 as well!
Anyway, after numerous hours and staying up all nite I downgraded it back to 4.2.
I thought it was google maps, so I removed it, no luck. Then thought it was a GPS problem so I turned it off to see if any changes. Nope. Then I went ahead and used it without a memory card. No luck! Very strange. 4.5 would run very slow on my device and get slower and slower where it would reboot. It was starting to reboot sooner as well where it got to the point it would load up, radio would connect and reboot. I even used a different computer to wipe and reload!
Couldn't figure out what causing it.

Has anyone else managed to get BBMap back with this latest OS ? Any help is appreciated.

You could always use Google maps? I find them better then BB maps.

Well, it's safe to say that I won't be upgrading to .110. After I did, my phone doesn't work and my keyboard isn't responsive. So I'll have to be getting a new one.
Kinda ironic how when I update using a vodafone or some other foreign OS update it works fine, then when I use the AT&T one that matches my phone, it breaks.

There's nothing wrong with .110. The biggest culprits for issues are 3rd party apps, media cards and removing .cod modules you shouldn't.

After reading the topic where the person typed in all caps. From what I could barely understand, he/she described what I was experiencing. Then like the first reply, someone said it was a keyboard failure. And after talking to AT&T, they said that OS updates don't affect the phones operations like what happened to me.

Any input on why mine isn't working? Keeps restarting. I tried it many times, with removed cod modules and one without.
The only thing I can think of is maybe mapquest navigator?

For those interested:
The AT&T site also has the East Asia version. However, it does not include Simplified Chinese.

Working great so far here since yesterday!
Has anyone thats ever upgraded their Docs To Go from AT&T's version to the newest managed to actually keep the custom folder icon that AT&T creates??
Mine disappears everytime I upgrade it and clutters up my apps screen!

I'm ready to update
I have 4.5.0.81 and AT&T and want to upgrade to .110. Do I need to download the new Device Manager version (4.7 - I have 4.6.012)? I actually started to download the 4.7 DM and it is taking FOREVER 1/2 hour for 7%. Can I abort the DM update, and just download from the AT&T web site? Do I need to remove the .81 from my pc first ( I read on another Forum that it is a MUST to remove the previous OS from your PC first)? Should I remove the media card before installing?
I guess I could just use a 1,2,3 step by step if possible.
Thank you.

Um, did you read the first post of this thread? There is already a 1, 2, 3 step by step. Please read it and follow it.
It's NOT a must to remove the old OS. The "other" forums are wrong. I have many OS's still loaded on my PC. If your mem card is working fine with .81 it will work fine with .110.

No problems over here...
Installed flawlessly, though I got an 'uncaught exception: no instance application' I'll have to deal with. Thanks to all for direction and insight!

That is not a new option in this os, it has been in every version of 4.5. It can be found in message options under General options.

I think I found a little difference with this OS... I use to be able to tell when I got an MMS who else the person was sending it to... Even what order it was sent in... Now, not so much... I appear as the only recipient every time... Has anyone else noticed this? Or is there a setting I need to change?

I need some help.
After updating to 110 every time I try to install a app or do anything with desk top manager in wants to upgrade again. In fact when you first start DM it wants to upgrade. It acts like my device has not been updated.
Device is working fine with 110.
I'm using DM 4.5.
anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
Mike

I upgraded from .81 to .110 and have not found any positive system changes.
From what I have seen so far, all "benefits" mentioned in previous messages were already there in previous versions of 4.5.
On the contrary, my memory usage actually went up a bit, which I apply to a change in OS size, for things not very obvious to me.
Here are my notes on upgrading from 4.5.0.81(108) to 4.5.0.110(152) - (includes DM from v4.5 to v4.7)
1. Starting memory after clean reboot: 27,626,894
I am a MaxMem user and already had all options (VAD, PTT, MDS, Sample Media, TID, Foreign Resources, Experimental Ring Tones, RIM Internal
Tools) removed from my device.
2. Installed new OS.
3. Used MaxMem to remove same options mentioned above. Free memory is now 26,933,924.
So if you are currently on .81, unless you like upgrading for the fun of it, my opinion is to wait for an upgrade with more proven/obvious benefits...
