i have a blackberry curve 8310 from att.
i do not have a data plan, but i have unltd texting and picture messaging. however, my berry cannot send or receive pics (mms). any ideas on how to make it work?

isnt sending and receiving picture msg's part of the picture msg'ing??? thats stupid that an internet connect would be needed. i was able to have mms with my moto razr

Yes but you don't need the internet package for it to work and it won't cost u to use it besides your unlimited texting plan. You 1 can not have the internet blocked and it work and 2 if you didn't get it registered right with blackberry it won't work. I had that problem because the store forgot to register it. Stop by the store they should be able to fix it pretty quick.
