Default Does 8300 OEM Leather Holster work with 8900?

I'm guessing the fit may be a little lose since the 8900 is slimmer but I plan to get a rubber skin for the phone and wonder if the skin will fill in the "empty space" in the 8300 Leather Holster. Can anyone confirm? Thanks.

I've been wondering about that one myself, but there's one way to find out for sure: Go to your nearest BEST BUY store... they usually have the 8300 leather pouch hanging on one of the hooks in the cell phone accessory section (at least at the Best Buy stores here in MD). If I Remember Correctly, the pouch is currently packaged in an "open" format; there's no plastic bubble over it, it's just attached to a cardboard backer. This allows you to handle the pouch, open it up, and put your phone in it to see how it fits. While you're doing that, you can also see if the magnet is positioned correctly to put the 8900 into "Holster Mode".
