Default Endless reboots...

Running .75 because I was wanting to stay with official releases to avoid problems like this, lol.

I was syncing my 9530 to my mac with missing synch. The synch froze and after waiting awhile I closed the program, ejected the phone from the desktop and disconnected it. The phone showed a steady red light, the light went off and the little clock (replacement for the hourglass?) came up, then it proceeded to do that over and over.

got out my PC notebook, Got jl cmder, d/l'ed a new OS. this is the first time I'd used jl cmder, while trying to wipe, sometimes it would flash a quick message that it could not connect, sometimes it would just go to the main screen. I'm not sure if it did anything cause I'm not sure how it is supposed to act. installed the OS, deleted vendor.xml, ran loader.exe. I did get it to go to the device application section, picked what I wanted and hit next. Got a check on "load JVM and system software" but it times out every time on "wait for device initialzation". I do not get that far every time, sometimes the red light starts with a flash followed by 4 quick flashes and repeats that.

Oh, I did connect while the connection said "USB-PIN UNKNOWN". I also followed the instructions for what to do next if jl Cmder does not work I still get these same results.

I poked around here and some other sites but I really don't see anything else to do. Any suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

After doing a wipe with JL_Cmder it should show 507 error on the display. Are you sure your usb cable is good?

I took it to a Verizon store and they fooled with it and then swapped it out without issue. I was surprised since I've had it since 12/3 or so I expected them to tell me it had to be shipped to a repair center.

the cable is good, I used it to synch to my computer just now. I have a feeling something cratered in the phone itself. I'd never used JL_Cmder before but it seemed simple enough that after several times I thought something else was going on.

Thanks for the help though!

I would update it to the latest OS you can find. Your experience with the device will be much better, even though not necessarily supported by Verizon.
