Default Does your Screen Wobble ?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my storm yesterday and was playing with it and notice that my screen wobbles. I was wondering if thats normal or a defect on my phone.

If you hold it in portrait mode and hold the screen from the center of the top or bottom of the touchscreen and move it left to right do your guys' screen wobble a bit like mine does ?

Besides the screen wobbling and battery only charging til 95%, i love the functionality of the phone and am happy that i found this forum. I'm sure its going to be helpful being part of this community.

My screen wobbles too. Maybe, just an idiosyncrasy of the Storm?

Yes, it wobbles. I vaguely remember another thread discussing it. AFAIK its nothing to worry about.

There may be a few threads covering this ... Hehehehe ... Actually some storms wobble more than others, however wobbling is normal.

Thanks for all the response.

I'm very sorry if this is a repost. I just got my storm two days ago and was pretty concerned. I probably should have did a search before jumping the gun and posting.

I wonder how the screen's connected, i'm assuming probably in the middle somewhere.

again thanks for everyones reply.

Don't be sorry, that's what forums are for IMHO .... Screen floats on a metal plate, you can google "Blackberry Storm Teardown" and see some cool pics. or I suppose I could link you to the first hit phoneWreck » BlackBerry Storm - Review and Teardown

Anyhow welcome to the Storm Forums.

Hey Jason, thanks for the "tear down" link!

Now I know why the Storm is so heavy for its size. There is a big fat metal plate in the middle of it!!! Do you suspect RIM might fashion it out of a lighter material in a second gen model?
