i ordered mine last sunday, took 5 calls to do it. it seems you just get lucky with a rep who will order it. on the 6th call, i played dumb and wanted to upgrade to the new blackberry that was just released. so, it seems to be some reps are more giving then others in ordering it.

I ordered mine last week on wed and got it on Friday. In my case I know business sales rep in Chicago and I was able to get ahead of time. The phone is sweet. I have given up my iphone for the berry and I am very happy with the phone so far. I previously had 8320 curve which i gave to my gf. I did 1 year contract for $349 with $100 rebate so it is $249.

How the berry wins over the iphone in my case:

Receive emails right away without draining the battery

Being able to tether my phone when traveling on the train to work (its possible with the iphone but it drains battery so quick its unusable)

Being on the 20th floor of sky rise reception sucks with most carriers even with verizon so TM UMA saves my life. my iphone would die after 4 hours of searching for signal. (this is more of TM benefit rather then blackberry)

Having a real key pad is so much better (misstyping on the iphone a lot)

Most of my friends have blackberrys I can use blackberry messenger to talk to them without using my txt msgs.

Anyways going back to topic If you know a biz sales rep give them a call. If you work in company that uses BES and use TM then ask for the sales rep's info and give them a call.

Has anyone that's received their phone actually gotten charged for it anywhere (like in their TMo account or on a CC)? I didn't get a receipt in the box, just the rebate form. I'm wondering where I get the receipt, and where they're going to charge me.

after six calls, no luck. I was trying to get this as a gift but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I've had six reps tell me it's not out or available before the 11th. I joined the freelancers union and called back and was told again to wait until the 11th.

I give up.

I'm just going to wait until the 11th. I'm a year out of contract with a dying 8700g.

If and when I call and am told they're out of stock, I'll be asking for a really big discount.

Why is it T-Mobile always releases updates later then everyone else and also phones?
as far as upgrading and stuff I got treated better with AT&T prepaid then while on a T-Mobile contract, I upgraded to a Curve from T-Mobile and I receive a refurbished phone and beat up box....a little off topic but I just dunno why T-Mobile is last to get the new stuff lol

The charge for the phone is gonna be included in your next billing cycle.

They haven't required a signature from me when i have ordered from them. they usually leave it on my porch, which i particularly don't like very much. but on the flip side, i don't have to call and go pick it up from the center where the trucks return to at night.

Thumbs up Finally ordered!

It took 40 minutes and 7 phone calls, but it was worth the effort. After hearing it will be available on February 11 numerous times one lady was nice enough to order it for me after realizing I was receiving the employee discount through my employer. I get it in 2 days with express shipping can't wait.

Default yes it works

it took me 5 different times but it worked

call 611
say upgrade
say blackberry

i told the cs rep i wanted to upgrade to the curve 8900. that was it. they asked if i wanted free ground shipping or 19.99 3day shipping.

i called 5 different times, all cs reps said its not out until the 11th and there is no other way around that! lol

i called the 5th time and the cs rep was happy to upgrade me!

i just received my new curve 8900 today! excellent!
