I have installed some of my favourite ringtones on my media card in the ringtone folder. I have assigned one of those ringtones to a contact but when that contact calls that particular ringtone does not work. (I am sure that when I browsed for the ringtone that I am selecting the proper folder (ie the card and rintones folder) but I just get the wrong tone.

Is there anything that I'm missing here. It sounds like this should be a no brainer.

I can't count the amount of times I've forgotten to hit save when exiting.
When you assigned the ring tone did you do it through the contact manger? Or the sound menu?

Naw - I hit save because the ringtone name shows up in the contact itself at the bottom of the entry.
I went through the contacts manager to give the individual contact it's own ringtone.


I go through the sound menu to assign a ringtone to the phone itself.

I had that problem with a phone number but I had him listed two different ways in the contacts. So when the call would come in it was not using the ringtone on his 'primary' contact. That's all I can suggest.
