Honestly, I am shocked. I just purchased ToDoMatrix a few days ago even though I am a little concerned about security with the online backup. I am trying to enter data in such a way to maintain privacy.

I just logged in to the Rexwireless Desktop, expecting it to be a secured connection, but it does not appear to be.

Has anyone else noticed this and are you concerned about it? Without SSL, it's trivial to sniff / intercept the data over the internet. I sent a suggestion to them. I would like to know what others think about this.

I had noticed that. It is one of the reasons why I don't store anything too confidential on their systems. I suspect that one of their responses is that the odds of someone sniffing the BB [emphasis added] is quite small -- and that may be true. But as you point out, what about the desktop, which offer a simple back door. They are truly BB-centric and consider the desktop a secondary data input mechanism. Having said that, I like their software.

Edit: Since they are in the process of re-writing the desktop, now would be the time to make our wishes known.

I got an email from Rexwireless with the SSL link this morning, also. Quick response to the comment I sent them.

I am very happy to know that SSL is available, but I wonder why they don't have it on the website. I read all the documentation, white paper, faqs etc, and I don't recall ever seeing mention of having SSL available. I think users would appreciate knowing that!
