Same as the Curve, I am using my car charger that I used with my Pearl 8100.

Yeah, any USB "A" (flat rectangle, computer side) to "mini-B" 5-pin (trapezoidal, like on a lot of BBs, Bluetooth headsets, lots of other phones, GPS units, etc) can be used. Personally, half the time (like when @ work), I use either a retractable USB cable with the correct "tip" on it, or one of the 3ft cables I picked up @ my favorite low-cost etailer for cables: monoprice (dot) com

For Windows PCs, the only real requirement seems to be the desktop software, which will kick the USB port into a higher voltage. For Linux systems, that's all automatic in any recent release. Mac...dunno.

I've even, in a pinch, used my GPS unit's car charger when I was on the road and at about 10% battery left.

I use a great 2 footer from my Canon digital camera. I used to use a retractable one, but the cable is thinner/flatter (so it can feed into the coil) -- and the trade off is that it's less robust.

The key is look for a male USB "A" to a male USB "mini" cable. Be careful not to get a USB "A" to a USB "micro" which is too small.
