retreiving media content

I have an 8700r backup file that when used to restore, certain mp3 ringtones do not load.
I installed blackberry simulator and successfully loaded all backup file content but have no idea how to retreive a ringtone from a simulated device.
i am aware i can retreive all ringtones with amber abc for blackberry but it doesent seem worthwhile to purchase the full version for solely this option and to retreive a single ringtone.
any ideas?
