I have a Verizon 8330 Curve with an external Freedom 2000 Bluetooth GPS receiver.
I just got the GPS receiver today, so I've been playing with it a bit.
I have the free trial of Garmin mobile, and I can only get it to receive a signal when no other GPS applications are running (bbmaps, gpsed, etc.).
In order to get any other apps to receive a GPS signal, I have to shut down Garmin Mobile, and then open the apps.
Does Garmin require exclusive access, or is there just something wrong with what I'm doing?
Note: Where I am right now I don't have PERFECT gps signal (4 Satellites according to GPSed, 5 according to BBMaps). The location is a little off, but not too bad. Could that be doing it?
I just tried TeleNav today and it does the same thing. If any other GPS app is open, TeleNav won't get a signal. If TeleNav is open, no other app can get a GPS signal..
This might be quirky but my Keychain 2000 will not necessarily "engage" with Googlemaps UNLESS I run another gps program which does connect. So that BOTH apps are running and both are getting the necessary gps data.
